During my time at Xbox, our focus was on creating richer social experiences to drive user engagement and satisfaction. To this end we created more robust user profiles, allowing users to add custom profile pictures, link social media profiles, and share media hosted on external sites to their activity feed. We shipped features that allowed users to create clubs, discussion forums, stream gameplay, and find multiplayer opportunities across the gaming ecosystem.
A core tenet of my work at this time was a focus on accessibility and inclusivity across platforms, accounting for a variety of input form factors, from touch, keyboard, voice, and specialty equipment. We not only met web accessibility standards, but utilized or created best practices for users with a variety visual, cognitive, or mobility preferences.
